STUDENT ENROLLMENT POLICY
We take your privacy seriously. All parents must sign a release form for photos taken & original work, digital or otherwise, created by students at any one of our programs. The release form is provided prior to the first class and on the first day of class. On the form parents elect what they wish Edutopia Island to share with them and other participants and what they give Edutopia Island Inc. permission to share publicly. If a parent does not complete the photo release form, it will be assumed parents give Edutopia Island permission to store or discard the work at their discretion. Edutopia Island will never intentionally share student photos on any public forum without written parental consent. Due to the nature and design of our programs, photos and work done collaboratively will still be shared and presented within the confines of the program and it's duration only.
What information do we collect?
We only collect information relevant to your enrollment and/or payment.
- Billing Address
- Phone number
- Emergency Contact
- Credit card information if making a payment.
In addition we also collect information on your IP address, browser type, and Refer URL data. We use
this data to prevent hacking attempts, help us know what web browsers people are using, and find out
where our visitors are coming from so that we can improve our marketing.
HOW IS THIS INFORMATION USED?
Your information is only used to fill your order. We do not sell or redistribute your information ANYONE.
Only your order data billing, shipping, and order contents data is stored on our server. This information is
encrypted using a Secure Sockets Layer before it is transmitted over a web server. We do not store your Credit Card.
COOKIES AND BROWSER INFORMATION
Cookies are small files that reside on your computer and allow us to recognize you on your next visit or
store your shopping cart contents. We only use them to track this information.
REFUND & MAKE UP POLICY
Please note once payments are made and monthly classes begin, NO REFUND can be issued. Students can make up two classes per registration period, dates of make up classes will be announced as needed.
TUITION PAYMENTS, CANCELLED PAYMENTS & INSUFFICIENT FUNDS POLICY
Tuition payments are due upon invoice receipt. Payments can be made in cash, personal check, or credit card via website. Any cancelled payments or notice of insufficient funds will result in a $25.00 penalty plus any late fees charged by the financial institution. A $5.00 late payment processing fee will be charged for any late payments and post on the late payment notice. If payment is not made after receiving the late payment notice, it will be assumed you have elected to dis-enrolled your child and foresight the spot. Edutopia Island Inc. reserves the right to discontinue services due to non-payment after once the 1st class begun for the enrolled program. Tuition costs vary due to duration and cost of material.
